Spring Poetry

This is the first year I have taught new types of poetry to my first graders. I have always taught list poems and acrostics, because they are easy enough for the students to create. I love teaching poetry, but I love even more when the students can create poetry too. During April, we have written poems about peeps, Easter, and Spring.  I found these great doilies from The Dollar Tree, and bought egg shapes and pink and yellow flower shapes. Such a cheap and easy way to incorporate something other than worksheets 🙂
