Today we practiced place value on this mat that I made. My main purpose was to practice expanded form. I laminated these mats, so that after we used our food for the lesson today, they could use their Expo markers for partner time or math by themselves.
We had tons of fun! I actually couldn’t find cheese cubes so I cut cheese sticks into cubes the night before the lesson. We used cheese its for the hundreds, pretzels for the tens, and m&ms for the ones!
