Can you guys even believe it is December?!?! This year is flying by! So in November I searched the Oriental Trading Christmas Website. (click here to see the amazing goodies) I wanted to find something that I could use for behavior management. During the crazy holiday seasons, I like to change up my behavior management strategies. For October, I used eyeball stickers, for November, I used Turkey feathers. SO I needed something for December. I found these amazing gingerbread house scenes. Each student will have a gingerbread house. When they are caught doing something good or following directions, they will receive a piece of their house to decorate! I recently posted on The Primary Peach about a behavior management strategy that I use these paper strips for. This year, I decided to get the paper chain with the stripes. I love it! We just started writing positive things on them, to promote kindness in our classroom. It is cute decoration that has a purpose!
The BEST thing about Oriental Trading is that you can buy ALL kinds of things. When I needed a cute activity for the last day before break, I found these awesome Christmas Favorites wheels. The students can decorate them and write about the best gift, why they love Christmas, and decorate a cute tree! This activity is a perfect addition to a Holiday Party or Morning work! I also found this ADORABLE pin the nose on the Snowman game. I think I am going to use that as a behavior incentive as well. Every little bit helps, right? This would also be a great addition to a holiday party.
Lastly, we are going to use this adorable washi tape to create Christmas trees. We are learning about measurement, and the students will have to measure lengths using centimeters to create this Christmas Tree. You can find the washi tape here. Who knew that Oriental Trading had washi tape?!?! Now that I know, I may have several orders of washi tape ready to go!
