Hello Friends! We are working our way out of the second month of school and it has been a whirlwind! I have moved from first to second grade, changed schools, and abilities of students. I love my new school and my kids, but let’s be honest moving is hard work! If you see a lull in the blog, that is why. My new kiddos are my TOP priority, however I still want to share with you what I am doing. It may just be behind by a few weeks. (Halloween in December, anyone?!?!) 😉 Meanwhile, you can follow my journey on Instagram @theelementarydarling.
So, I decided to bring back an oldie that I loved using in first grade, A Bad Case of Stripes. There are so many great things about this book. An interesting character, teaching students to be themselves, sequencing, and so many more!
Last year, I had a little more time to create anchor charts and cute things for my classroom. Here is the first grade anchor chart I made.

Some good ideas for the paper craft and moreover they are the best way to teach children some good stories. The first one with the central cloud and table is the perfect one.
